Leadership Team

The Project is guided by a statewide, cross-disciplinary Leadership Team of public health directors, health officers, chronic disease program leaders, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and others.

Getting Involved

The Leadership Team plays a critical role in ensuring that the Project
provides significant value to local health departments (LHDs). Participants provide continuing guidance to this statewide initiative to build the capacity of LHDs to do upstream prevention work in our communities. Members include cross-cutting representatives from public health departments in California, as well as other partners who are interested in focusing the work of public health upstream. They include senior public health leaders across disciplines, such as Health Officers, Health Directors, Directors of Health Education, Public Health Nursing, Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health, Data and Epidemiology, Accreditation, and Chronic Disease Managers. It is driven by LHD priorities, incorporates urban, rural, and frontier perspectives, and includes LHDs not represented by regional public health alliances.
