Leadership Team
The Project is guided by a statewide, cross-disciplinary Leadership Team of public health directors, health officers, chronic disease program leaders, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and others.
Getting Involved
The Leadership Team plays a critical role in ensuring that the Project
provides significant value to local health departments (LHDs). Participants provide continuing guidance to this statewide initiative to build the capacity of LHDs to do upstream chronic disease prevention work in our communities. Members include CHEAC (local public health directors), CCLHO (health officers), and various county, regional, and state affiliate and leadership organizations representing Directors of Health Education, Nutrition, Public Health Nursing, Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health, and Data and Epidemiology, as well as Chronic Disease managers. It is driven by LHD priorities, incorporates urban, rural, and frontier perspectives, and includes LHDs not represented by regional public health alliances.
